VR Exhibition by Students

We collaborated with students from the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf to create mixed reality and augmented reality experiences for our lobby at the Valtech Düsseldorf office.

In phase 1, users were able to grab a physical object marked with an NFC token and interact with the nearby NFC reader to trigger some contextual movies on a screen in the lobby.

In phase 2, the students created interactive VR and AR experiences available on Oculus Quest and iPad.
They also built the backend IoT infrastructure.

In phase 3, the students focused on adding new virtual scenes, themes, and sounds to the experience. The theme-changing feature allows users to create room presets and simple overlays on the objects displayed around them.

The students chose la ow-poly-styled forest and the Audi branded assets as the respective themes for the playful virtual rooms.
